If you are a beginner, generally speaking, a larger scale may be easier to work with, but smaller scale models are often simpler. If you are looking at an armor kit (tanks), a 1/35 scale Tamiya is a great starting point. For aircraft, a 1/48 scale Tamiya is a good option.
