A brushed motor is what is traditionally used in Rc cars, however they create a lot of drag with the bushes. Which reduces the top speed of the motor.
A lot of cars now run a Brushless motors. This is a 3 phase motor that runs without bushes, this reduces friction and provides a huge boost to power over traditional brushed motors.
A lipo battery is a gel style pack that provides an extremely high power to weight ratio. They are well regarded in the RC scene for their ability to get the most out of the Brushless Motors. Without lipo batteries, brushless motors would ot provide the output that they are so well known form.
Lipo batteries can be dangerous if mistreated or if charged incorrectly.
Please when you charge your batteries please don’t leave them unattended.Check your settings, and if a battery has a hole in it, a cracked case or has blown up at all. It would be best to dispose of the battery and replace it.
To avoid fires always include a lipo safety bag in your battery purchase to charge and store the batteries in. This will prevent fires from leaking out and damaging what is around them.
