All About GODHAND Magnifying Head Loupe
Godhand's Magnifying Head Loupe is an ideal hands-free tool to have in your modeling kit. Now, let’s take a look at everything we need to know about this product.
What is a Magnifying Head Loupe?
The Magnifying Head Loupe, or "Sukkiri Center Mie Magnifying Glass," is a Godhand creation made specifically with scale modelers in mind. This is a must-have product when working with small-scale models or on projects that require precision and accuracy.
This mag visor has a single wide lens made of acrylic resin that is aspherical in shape. It can be mounted onto the head with an adjustable strap made of elastomer and polypropylene plastic. The inside of the adjustable strap is lined with foam to cushion the head, which makes it comfortable to wear when working for long periods of time. Both the lens and the strap are quite sturdy, so you know they won’t break easily in an accident or two. The lens can be put up to move it out of the way without having to remove the whole thing; despite this, it is still quite stable, and even if you move your head around while working, it is unlikely that it will wobble. You can even bring it closer or farther away because of its wide focal length and working distance of 5 to 40 centimeters.
What does a Magnifying Head Loupe do?
It magnifies objects 1.6 times greater than the original image without distortion. These lenses will stay in focus while still magnifying, so you can take a closer look at the magnified version of your favorite diecast’s engine without straining your eyes.
Because of its aspherical shape, it has a greater depth of field as opposed to the spherical ones that can be found in most magnifying lenses. This removes the common problem that most people encounter when wearing mag visors: usually, the shorter depth of field makes it harder to focus on a specific part, so you have to switch between the magnified vision and your natural vision, which is both troublesome and impractical. With these, you can have them on without trouble, and they will give you better vision with less eye strain.
Things to Remember When Working with the Magnifying Head Loupe
- Avoid looking at the sun or at bright sources of light through the loupe.
- Do not use strong chemicals like alcohol to clean the lens.
- Use a cloth with a soft material when wiping off the lens.
- Do not place the magnifying head loupe in places where it can catch sunlight; since the lens harvests light, it is possible that flammable materials nearby can catch fire.
- Do not use this magnification visor in a place where your eyes will be exposed to direct sunlight.
- Use the device in moderation; if it can be avoided, do not use it for long periods of time without taking breaks in between.
- Avoid drastically modifying, customizing, or disassembling the product, as this can cause irreparable damage.
- Store your magnifying head loupe in a secure place, away from children's reach.
In-Depth Review of the GODHAND Magnifying Head Loupe
Why would you want a Godhand Magnifying Head Loupe? Well, these are pretty great. If you use the nice tip ones or are familiar with them, you might find these particular ones a little different. It gives you a really good idea of where everything is in its depth of field. The lenses have greater focus with less eye strain, and they stay in focus while they are magnifying. The Magnifying Head Loupe’s 1.6x lens magnification might be less than other mag visors that can go up to 5x magnification, but it stumps the other magnifying lenses in terms of the period of use. Because it has a lower magnification, you can use it for a longer period of time, and since Godhand incorporated a single wide lens design, the functionality rose drastically without sacrificing the ease of use. The lenses are made of acrylic resin so you do have to be careful because it is quite prone to scratching, but it is definitely better than glass when it comes to sturdiness.
Wearing this mag-visor is almost comparable to wearing glasses because the design is both practical and comfortable. The band is fully adjustable, so you can be assured that it will be strapped securely onto your head, and the cushion lining gets rid of any irritable feeling of having a magnifying lens strapped onto the head. The foldable lens is a simple but ingenious design that is perfect for getting the lens in and out of the way without much fuss. It comes with its own bag, so you don’t have to worry about where to put it after you are finished using it.
The GODHAND Magnifying Head Loupe is a great all-rounder that can be used for a variety of different projects. If you want a go-to mag visor for all your magnifying needs, this is it. Whatever Godhand does is always really good, and this one definitely did not disappoint.
